French Touch by Marie, in collaboration with Century Club Soho, is organising a prestigious cinematic evening with the Paris-based film director and actor Azize Kabouche. Coming back from Paris for the occasion, this is a very rare opportunity to meet him and get a more in-depth knowledge of his work.

Mr Kabouche has a successful career spanning over 20 years in the theatre, cinema and television industry. He has worked alongside numerous directors and renowned actors, including Catherine Deneuve and Gérard Depardieu. He has been featured in Netflix’s Marseille and has toured the world with the play “La main de Leila.”

Last year French Touch by Marie hosted the London Premiere of “Carré 644”, his latest short film, selected in various festivals.

This time, Mr Kabouche will take the audience into a cinematic and artistic journey through origins. His Algerian origins, the origin of his work, his identity as an artist. Sue Harris, Professor of Film Studies at Queen Mary University of London will moderate the Q/A. She is a specialist in French cinema and her publications include the only book in English on the director Bertrand Blier. Sue is Associate Editor of the UK journal French Cultural Studies. She is a regular reviewer for the BFI’s Sight & Sound magazine, and is a regular guest speaker at BFI Southbank in London.

The guests will also meet the team of Onzalaprod, a collective of French-speaking artists making films in London. They just released their film “Louis” competing for the Nikon Film Festival.

The luxurious cognac House of Rémy Martin will offer a complimentary drink to the first 40 guests.

Two fabulous performers will add a music touch to the night. Eleonora Damizia, a multilingual talented singer and published songwriter, will perform a special jazz. Eleonora’s vibrant personality has graced some of the most famous live venues in London, from the grandeur of the Royal Albert Hall, to prestigious members clubs and venues such as Crazy Coqs.

Emma Kabouche will be joining for a special music and dance set. Parisian talented singer, actress, and dancer, she has just moved to London for her career.

Their guests will receive special benefits from their partners, including IVINDO, an organic brand for Urban Women inspired by the Gabonese forest and biodiversity (certified COSMOS ORGANIC by ECOCERT GREENLIFE).
